Let me start by saying that I do like this mattress. However, while reading reviews (after I purchased it, of course) I saw that a reviewer pointed out that this was not a 12.5" mattress. It's actually a 10" mattress with a 9" standard box spring. Sorry, I don't know what the low box spring height is. To me, this constitutes false advertising on both the part of Sealy and of Macy's. So, I took out a tape measure, and sure enough, the mattress is ten inches. I purchased this mattress a month ago for a guest bedroom that no one has used yet. I will say that I am not unhappy with my purchase. While I haven't had the opportunity to sleep on it yet, laying down on it feels good to me. I have this mattress on a platform bed and it actually feels a bit high for my 5'4" body. Altogether, that's 19" plus the height of the platform. Were it another 2-1/2" high it would be too tall for me and be a better fit for a tall person. Unless you are entertaining Munchkins, this is fine.

Ordered this Mattress Sealy Posturepedic Chase Point II Firm Tight Top 12.5" I. Queen Set. The Mattress does not measure 12.5", it actually measures 10" high. Called and an inspector is due to come out 12/1/2025 to inspect the mattress, possible manufacturer issue. Please measure your mattress for size to ensure you get what you are paying for.

The mattress meet my expectations for the guest room.

I agree with the others it measures 10 inches but its super hard to get fitted deep pocket sheets over 12.5 inch mattresses so it was a win being 10 inches for me. My issue was I had the worst sleep of my life tossing and turning all night. I have slept on Sealy Posturepedic mattresses before and never had a problem. My last one was one. In this one the foam on top of the coils is not firm enough. There is way too much give and no support for the body. I felt like I was swimming in it. So hugely dissapointed that Sealy made a matress like this. Its such an inconvenience to have to search for something else and get it swapped out.
