Elegant but fragile

We love everything about this Bernadaud Louvre cereal bowl, its elegance, size, and shape. However, we lost them all within 10 years because they are too fragile, probably too thin, for hand washing and the dishwasher. And I've purchased them again since because they are so elegant, and with the same results. All other Bernadaud Louvre dishes hold up well, except the handles on the beautiful soup bowls. We've loved this collection for 25 years, and still hoping Bernadaud will make this bowl a little more sturdy.

Costly but worth it!

These are lovely little cereal bowls, really too nice for daily use given the price! But I have the collection and enjoy it.

Chipped in Dishwasher :(

Really torn on this one, I have the dinner and pasta plates and those were great, this bowl is a little smaller than I would like plus one of them chipped immediately on the first go in the dishwasher

Love this china

This is a nice pattern; can be used as everyday or "dressed up" for a nice dinner party. Always buy extra pieces when "Friends & Family" comes around. That's the only time it's on sale and on sale (ever), only at Macy's.

Love Louvre

I have had Louvre for many years and use them for everyday, formal and anything in between. They are classic and offer any so many different individual and serving pieces, you can add to this collection forever! My favorite individual piece is the pasta bowl-you must have these bowls. They are so useful-even if you don't eat pasta. To the reviewer that has chipped dishes. These are very durable, but you must be careful about how you place these and all dishes in the dishwasher. That's most likely where the damage occurred.
