Quality product

The quality is superb and the features make the prospect of traveling much more organized and therefore pleasurable. While I have not yet traveled using this piece of luggage, I am looking forward to taking it fir a "spin".

Once again, a perfect bag

I'd been so satisfied with my Essential carry-on spinner, I knew I'd feel like I'd compromised if I got anything less in a larger (medium) piece for a longer travel. Same perfect build, hardware, durability, flexibility, and the comfort that comes with knowing it's a lifetime purchase. I do particularly like the flat bottom that results from the exterior handle, which allowed me to pack a poster I acquired along the way with nothing but a piece of cardboard over it to protect it. I'm also a fan of the fact the lid opens the back fully, rather than having to splay out both sides when living out of it: hotel rooms are not as big as they used to be, some provide racks and some don't, and those that do require gymnastics at best if both sides need to be open. These just work better. Seeing as it just went to Italy, Spain and France and it's the same in every language: Bravo!

What?! No Locking The Wheel(s)?

I've been a loyal Briggs-Riley person, and a professional airline pilot for many years. While I've enjoyed their products overall. However, I'm a bit disappointed on this purchase. I should of investigated further. But, I would of thought that at least the wheels could lock. So that at least in the upright position, it won't roll unexpectedly. Let's say you're traveling in a train or bus, you must lay this on it's narrow side. Or even the handle's side, thus getting the suitcase more dirty. The positive is I like nearly everything else. Come on Briggs, lets give us what we need for nearly a thousand bucks.

Metal Rods Telescopic Pull-Out Improvement

The luggage is excellent in quality, and I’m very happy with the overall build. That said, I wish the metal rods for the telescopic pull-out handle were better protected. In the current design, the rods are exposed on the back of the luggage, which makes them highly susceptible to damage. I purchased this for my Christmas/New Year vacation, and after just one flight, the metal rods were already scratched and covered in noticeable marks. This was only a single trip, so I can only imagine how much worse it will get after multiple flights and years of use. A protective cover or housing for the rods would greatly improve durability and keep the luggage looking premium over time.
