Nice Placemats!

I ordered the placemats online in "Tart", which is a nice soft color/print. Unfortunately, I returned them due to my error. I assumed they were a standard size and would fit my table but I should have measured before ordering. The placemats are large and rectangular shape. My table is small and oval shape so they didn't fit on my table without overlapping, plus the rectangular edges were an awkward fit on my oval table.

Look beautiful but how to

Look beautiful but how to get rid of awful plastic chemical smell? Airing for 2-weeks and still reek. Doesn't seem healthy. Will not put on table top or place plates with food on it unless odor disappears.

Good but consider a darker color

They look nice with our table, a good neutral color but I'm worried about them accumulating stains over time. There are already a few marks from tomatoes, turmeric, etc. that won't completely come out. Not the end of the world but for the price maybe I would have been better off with a darker color.
