Excellent, Just Right!
I recently bought the Cuisinart Elemental 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder to replace a small chopper from another brand that did not meet my expectations. The Cuisinart Elemental 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder is great! Perfect size that does not need to be emptied as often as the previous brand. The reversing blade system works terrific to make chopping the pieces uniform, not mushy or runny as the other chopper did. The grind function worked worked flawlessly to grind coffee beans too. A big plus is the blade will not fall out when emptying the chopper. I think this little chopper is a work horse. The unit is stable, doesn't slide around and not too loud when in use. It is like the Three Bears story, it's not too big and it's not too small ... it's just RIGHT! Clean up is a breeze too. So happy I made the purchase. My regret is buying the other brand thinking it would work for my needs. I should have bought the Cuisinart model and saved myself the frustration.

Too elemental
Chops fine but grinds terrible. Doesn't slice or shred.
Response from Macy's
We’re glad to hear the Cuisinart Elemental 4-Cup Chopper-Grinder chops well, but we’re sorry the grinding performance did not meet your expectations. This compact chopper is designed for smaller food-preparation tasks and does not offer slicing or shredding functions; for those additional features and larger jobs, Cuisinart offers a variety of full-size food processors. Thank you for sharing your experience with Cuisinart, as your feedback helps us better understand what consumers are looking for in their kitchen appliances.
Bad chopper

Great features
I cannot say more than the perfect little machine as I use it every day!
Flawed handle design
This product does a great job at its intended use. I'll not reiterate what other reviews have said. However, I'd like to point out the flawed handle design. If you're not extremely careful with how you clean the work bowl, food particles will work their way into the empty space inside the handle. You can flush most of it out with water, but it's next to impossible to remove everything.

Response from cuisinart.com
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Cuisinart® Elemental 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder. We're pleased to hear the unit performs well for its intended purpose, but we understand your concerns about food particles becoming trapped inside the handle during cleaning. To help minimize buildup, we recommend rinsing the bowl and handle area immediately after use, using a strong stream of warm water to flush the handle cavity, and allowing the bowl to air dry completely before storage. If you have additional questions about care and cleaning, please contact our Consumer Assistance Center at 1-800-726-0190. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and will share your comments with our team as we continue to identify opportunities for improvement.
