Not what I wanted

I did a search for Corelle dinnerware. Macy’s came up with a design and style I liked. Imagine my surprise when the dishes got here and they were heavy and breakable not corelle. I guess I should’ve looked more closely, but don’t expect to be misled by Macy’s a reputable store.

I ordered this dinnerware set because I had bought the exact same one a couple of years ago, and several cups and plates had broken in the meantime. I hoped to combine the remaining pieces with the new set and use them daily. To my surprise, I discovered a significant difference: the new set is noticeably smaller than the previous one! The large and small plates, as well as the cups, have shrunk by approximately a centimeter in terms of surface area and volume. The colors are slightly brighter, yet the base white looks less white. It turns out to be quite a clever marketing move: the manufacturers reduced the size of the dishes but kept the price the same!

The dishes are beautiful. They are lightweight but yet substantial. And just so pretty. I recommend them.
