Poor zipper design

Used this piece on the first time traveling through Europe for a month. Unfortunately, the zipper failed in the first week and was unable to fully zip it closed. I plan to reach out to Macy's for help to resolve this. Given the price paid I would hope Macy's will be of assistance.

Dissatisfied

luggage has been a regret. Two wheels have fallen off, zipper poles have disappeared. Logo has fallen off. Customer Service of the Hartman brand is extremely disappointing. I have spent hours on the phone attempting to have this luggage repaired. I have been informed that replacement parts are not available. The luggage repair shops that they have given me for service have informed me that they do not service this brand. This was an expensive set of luggage that has barely lasted a year. I would not recommend that you buy this for any price. If you purchase it, be prepared to be dragging your luggage out without any wheels.

Great Bag

I purchased the bag a couple of months ago. On my travels it has proved excellent. It holds more than I thought possible. The bag fits perfectly under my seat. In addition, it’s attractive and goes well with my other Hartman luggage.

Poor Quality and Bad Service

I bought this model of Hartmann luggage; the plastic zipper broke the first time I used the suitcase. To its credit, Hartmann send me a replacement. The replacement broke the first time I used it in exactly the same place. Since it broke when I was in South America, I had no choice but to leave the useless luggage behind and buy a new one to finish the trip. This time Hartmann only offered a useless option of repair or a 20% discount on another Hartmann product. Fool me once.....

Above Average at Best

I have had the luggage for almost 6 months with extensive travel including air. The piece has shown wear but overall done a decent job so far with only one structural issue.The hard case has held up with no damage on the exterior, just some cosmetic marks from luggage being checked on planes. These marks have not come off with cleaning but again, just cosmetic issues. The other issue was that the gold color handle wore off which exposes the bare unpainted plastic on the handle itself. The structural item that broke was one of the zipper tabs, the locking hole of the tab broke off and Hartman did send a replacement. It may have been a faulty item and I have not experienced any issues with the replacement. Overall the luggage is attractive and operates well but I gave it an above than average due to some of the issues encountered in just 6 months of use. Unsure but I am probably going back to a soft case like the Tweed collection series as I had before. I think the internal design is better for packing.
