I purchased a pair of these sweats a year ago, and have been very disappointed in them for two reasons. The fit of the sweatpants was poor at best, and it seemed that the waist size was geared to those on the heavier side since they always felt way too loose and were difficult to keep from falling off my hips. More aggravating still, the cheaply made draw cord frayed and ultimately broke, leaving this expensive pair of sweats useless to me. The sweats have a drawstring that does not go fully around the waste, but rather two short cords that must be sewn into the pants. Accordingly, I could not simply retread a new drawstring to replace the torn one, and in essence they are now irreparable and useless. I guess Lands End saved a few pennys in manufacturing them by using less cord, but by doing so, they rendered my purchase a complete waste of money. I will no longer purchase these sweatpants in the future and only buy those with a traditional drawstring that fully encircles the waist. Sad to see that they were so cheaply designed and far from being “serious” sweats but rather junk!

Cozy but BIG
I very much like the fabric. Unfortunately, the size that I wear in other brands is huge in these. To be fair, I upsize for comfort. If I had followed the size guidelines, I maybe would not have had the problem. But the waist was huge while the length on the XL pants is merely adequate for a 6 footer.

Pockets wear out way too fast.
I've stopped buying Lands End sweats, even the so called "Serious" sweats because the pockets wear out way before the rest of the sweats do every time I bought them. Other brands I've bought pockets' don't wear out as fast.

Comfortable and durable, but the legs are short
The fabric of these sweatpants is very soft and comfortable, and the pants seem sturdily made, but I am disappointed in the leg length. I exchanged my regular sized sweatpants for a tall and still find the leg length short. It might be partly the style of these sweatpants but, while the product description says the approximate inseam for a tall is 31 1/4", the inseam on my tall medium sweatpants measures 30" exactly, before washing them.

Super Cozy! Holiday Family Favorite!
Our family follows the "PJs for X-Mas Eve" tradition...I have adult children and have found the Lands End Serious Sweats to be the overall favorite for our PJ bottoms. My kids can then use them throughout the rest of the winter season...lounging inside or for quick errands and sporting activities outside the house. These are definitely worth the money!

Not Your Usual Sweats
I normally wear Fruit of the Loom sweats so these struck me as different. They appear to be great quality. The waist band is very broad which is different from any other sweats I have worn. I'm not sure how I will like it. The size was bang on with the legs of my tall size sweats being sufficient with no extra. Often sweats look and feel good with a little slouch in the leg length. That won't be the case with these as there is no spare for my 35 inch inseam. Regardless, they look and feel great.
