Great fabric, but shorter in the body than I hoped

I bought this jacket two weeks ago, but stil have all the tags on and receipt handly, because I just am not sure about this jacket. Pros: The fabric is beautiful, soft and warm; the color is perfect; the fit is basically fine, especially in the arms. Cons: I am 5'8", and boy, I really wish it had another two inches or so in length around the hip and bottom. It does NOT look on me like it looks on the model - it appears shorter. So I'm still trying to make up my mind, because unfortunately it was not the jacket of my dreams - and too expensive to keep if it is not perfect.
