Beautiful and light weight but...

We gave this as a present to our 17-year-old boy and he loves them because they "look cool and are very light weight" he says. However, after he wore them the first day they looked as if they were old! The material doesn't hold very well and he didn't even practice or run with them he visited a friends house!
