needs a lot of work

The concept is interesting, but the instructions and information you are given do not always match up and are unclear. Item labels and descriptions are not consistent. A wider play test audience should have been considered. Note that this group plays a LOT of escape games and dies escape rooms as well.

Great concept but the execution was a bit off

I love how the game allows you to play by yourself. I didn't mode that it ended up taking longer than the expected 2 hour game play. It allows you to walk away if you need too. I have 2 issues with the game. First, when it is time to open up from the jail cell to the raft section, it is unable to lay flat because the section with the sharks is in the way. Second, the instructions weren't always clear. There were a few parts that even after I used my hints and got the answer, I still didn't understand how it came to be. In the end, the game is better than I expected. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I am excited for other versions of the game to come out.

Like a puzzley present for your mind!

While the box tilt may bug the OCD in you, unleashing and unlimber the secrets layer by layer will make you want to escape to this line!

Do not buy this game.

Promising concept. Terrible execution. Even after reading hints and watching solutions some puzzles still make no sense as the cards are not drawn to scale. Very wordy clues with lots of useless / irrelevant material. Do not purchase unless you want to spend the rest of your life in prison.

The best we played

We tried several escape products at the same time and this was head and shoulders ahead of the others. It had a lot of content, which 3 adults found fun and just the right amount of challenging.

I really want to play this game

Hi guys, reading and watching reviews of this game I think it is awesome, but still have not played it. HELP PLEASE, I got this game for my birthday but all in German language, rules, cards, etc. If someone would scan or take photos of cards so I can print it to play it would be great, I have only found rules in English online, but cant find cards anywhere.. HELP me play it, thanks

Terrible Game

I typically love games like this, but this one made no sense. The board is too small to see the details they expect you to find. There is no clear indication of how you are suppose to progress through the game and the puzzles expect you to know what they are looking for without telling you what you need to find. In the end, we tore the game apart to get to the finale because we could not take the frustration and anxiety of the nonsense game anymore. Spoiler Alert: The ending is not fun either. Nothing good about this game - save your money.

BANG! for your Buck!

This game was FABULOUS once we figured out how to play. Before that we almost threw it into the trash! You have to forget about other escape rooms in a box and carefully read the instructions. It is a little confusing but one you get the hang of it the game was exciting, engaging, fun, creative, puzzling, dynamic and really quite wonderful. So glad we perservered! We played with two games, one in NYC and the other in Maryland. Then we used the Portal to play together. It worked GREAT! Because it wasn't timed those with processing issues were able to enjoy it as well. We spent 3 hours playing but it didn't feel like 3 hours! A real bang for your buck! It worked so well that we have already purchased the other game - Breakin to Area 51! Can't wait for them to arrive! You really can not go wrong with buying this game.
