Misleading Sale Price

I bought the Samsonite Tectonic 2 Large Backpack (18" x 12", Black) during what was advertised as a more-than-50%-off sale at Macy’s. Later, I noticed that the same backpack was listed at a lower regular price on the Samsonite website. The backpack itself is of good quality, but the pricing at Macy’s was disappointing. It felt misleading to see a “sale” that wasn’t actually a better deal. Definitely returning it.

Nice backpack but disappointing quality

I really like this backpack for its generous size and key features: strap for a suitcase handle, side pockets for drinks; several outer pockets for small items (though I wish it had compression straps - the only thing it is missing). However I am disappointed at the quality. My previous backpack (from a different company) lasted for many years. This is not very old but out of warranty, and the zipper on one of the compartments broke. The teeth just pulled out from the tape so it can't be repaired. Bummer.

This is not a 17" laptop bag

Buyer beware. 4 years ago, this may have fit a 17" laptop. Not today. I returned mine 15 minutes after UPS dropped it off. My new 17" Legion did not fit. I have read other brands don't either.

Got it for traveling with laptop, it is significant upgrade from a similar backpack different brand. GOod material, well made, many pockets.
