Macy's really disappoints. Will never buy from them again.
I was so excited to get this ring but when it arrived, I was incredibly disappointed. It isn't at all with the picture looks like. Color is great, size is great. The cut cut of the gem is not classic ROUND cut, which as you can see in the online photo, has the triangular shapes all around it, giving it extra sparkle. Instead it has a bizarre single uniform line cut all the way around it (I don't know how to describe it), and it truly looks like a trinket that might have come from one of my 10-year old daughters trinkets; aka very cheap. I called Macy's and they said it sounded like a defective gem and that they would send me a new one asap. Well, instead of sending me a replacement ring they sent me a replacement for a necklace I purchased at the same time- one of those "bonus $200" offers that I purchased on a whim. So mad- I call just now and they are OUT of the ring and which I was going to return anyway. As in, no more. So I have a faulty ring and two necklaces that I don't want and I will be going into the store tomorrow to return. Of note: I spent a half hour on the phone with the jewelry department discussing the ring so the fact that they sent me a necklace is a bit unbelievable. Lesson learned; Macy's is not a place for jewelry. Now I get to return all three things and I plan to cancel my card at the same time. Honestly feels like any store is better than Macy's for jewelry.
Clear stone strikes again
Yes, I read the review of the other person who got the colorless stone, but I thought I might get lucky. I didn't. It may be her return, because the stone ring that I received has essentially ZERO color. Imagine placing one tiny drop of the palest pink, almost peach dye into a gallon of water and you'll understand. This poor ring is going back into its box and taking a hot UPS trip back to the warehouse. Earlier, I bought a pink sapphire ring with gorgeous color and have fallen in love with pink stones. Since this was heavily discounted, I thought I'd try it, too. I think they're hoping to see if someone keeps it, but it's a completely different color (NO color) from what is shown.

I can't believe I am the new owner of this stunning ring. I have waited years for this ring. I have had my eye on this and finally have it. Please ladies don't look the other way when you see this online. IT IS NOT THAT PINK IN PERSON. Its a very faint pink color and very elegant. My husband hates my style and when he initialed saw It online he called it costume. Its not too big but the perfect size. Wear it with an elegant dress to a wedding or an evening affair or with a pair of jeans and a t shirt. If you are looking for a expensive looking ring without paying $$$$$ buy this ring you will not be disappointed.
Near colorless
I have been looking for a pinkish large stone ring when I saw this one on the website. I purchased it through the internet but could not wait to see it on my hand. Although the internet showed none available in store, I was lucky to come across one in the 4th store I visited. The one I saw in the store had a nice color right between purple and pink almost like what is pictured, not tacky bright but definitely colored. The stone is large and covers most of the width of my finger. The diamonds were hardly visible, and the ring is thin but dainty. I was OK with it because the stone was so pretty. So, my ring finally came in the mail today and I couldn't wait to open it, however when I opened the box I was surprised and confused as it looked like it was a morganite stone. The color I saw was the faintest of peach, I thought the stone was near colorless and I thought maybe I was seeing the reflection of the rose gold through a clear stone. I put the ring in every type of light. I really saw almost no color. My heart dropped. It was not the color of the stone I saw in the store. When I took close up pictures of it, the stone gave off hints of color, but I could not see much color otherwise. The ring is pretty, but now that the color of the stone was not an eye catcher, the ring was really lacking any pizzazz. The site is now listing it as available in store near me, so I hope to find one with beautiful color for an exchange otherwise this will be going back. If you find this ring in store and the color is perfect, buy it there! I just came back from the store and the one in stock has a stronger lavender hue. They allowed me an exchange, but I'm not sure of how I feel about the color now. I don't think this is going to be a keeper. It is pretty but I guess online it will be the luck of the draw.
Purple
I had seen this ring in the store and it was a beautiful rose color. Unfortunately, they sold it before I was able to snatch it up. So I went online and ordered it, ignoring all the reviews that said it was purple (because I saw one in store and it was definitely pink). But when it arrived, it was a pale purple- not even kind of pink. I wish I hadn't waited for the price to drop and should have snatched the one that was actually pink from my local store.
LOVE this ring
This ring is pale, pale pink with a lavender hue. I don't like the bright Barbie pink stones, so this one is perfect for me. It is a tad on the lavender side, but don't let that dissuade you unless you really don't like the color. I wanted a soft pink and this is about as close as I'll get. The stone is huge and it sits rather high. I'm not a big fan of rose gold but this goes so well with the ring, and the diamonds on the band really make it sparkle so you mostly see the large stone and the white diamonds anyway. The band is rather thin, and so the ring can move around since the center stone is large. I bought a small white gold diamond band to go with it and it really makes it eye catching. Love this ring and so glad I bought it. I wear it every day. My signature ring.

This ring is stunning! I have wanted it for over a year and finally bought it and I am not at all disappointed! The amethyst is very large and sparkly! The actual stone is a light purple. So glad i purchased it!
