Amazing value - excellent way to discover new products!
I've purchased the holiday blockbusters for the past few years and this is my favorite so far. (I purchased the cool option.) First, the train case holds its shape after the items have been removed, which is a change from earlier years. I've donated previous ones because they didn't hold their shape. This is a winner! I LOVE the roll-on blush! I've never seen that product before and I doubt I would have taken a chance on purchasing it if it hadn't come with this kit. The color is beautiful and it stays in place all day! Most of the lip glosses that have been part of this holiday kit in previous years have worked well enough with my skin tone for me to use, but the one this year ("Unwrapped") is an absolute winner!! It is incredibly neutral - not too pink, not too peachy. Usually gloss isn't something I spend money on, but the color is so perfect that I'm sold. I haven't tried the lipsticks yet, but the colors are beautiful. The eye shadow palette is softer than it looks online, which was a pleasant surprise--especially the purple. It's much more muted than the bright lilac on the screen. Estee Lauder mascara is unbeatable, bottom line. I've tried so many others (including drug store brands that do a pretty good job) and this one stands alone. The fact that this comes with a full-size mascara and a full size moisturizer (1 ounce, not 1.7) makes this an unbeatable buy. (The other skin care products are great as well.) To recap: these are items I'll actually use, in a train case I'll actually use. If you've thought about getting one of these in the past--or if you've been a little disappointed in previous years--this one is absolutely worth it!
