I purchased this TV for installation into a new house. It sat in a well-conditioned closet for ~6 months, and then was installed after construction was finished. 6 months later, just out of warranty, the speakers died. Because it was out of warranty, I'm SoL. So far the actual picture is holding up, so hopefully it is just an issue with the speakers.

Hi tmp99, Thanks for sharing your experience with the BRAVIA A95L. We're very sorry to hear that the speakers stopped working, especially after you waited so long to install it. It must be incredibly frustrating to have this happen just as you were about to fully enjoy it. We want to be sure you have all the correct information to help resolve this. Our televisions come with a one-year limited warranty, not six months. Given that you purchased the TV about six months before installation, you may still be within the warranty period, you can read the warranty terms here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/BL79/60bde36090366474708b1240edfb57f7/BL791001M.pdf Please contact our support team at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=tv We will be happy to assist you from Monday to Friday 9am - 10pm and weekends 10am - 8pm! Misleading and terrible product for the high cost
I bought this TV about a year and a half ago. The speakers for the TV stopped working all of a sudden. Sony tried troubleshooting but could not fix it. I now have to pay a 3rd party service to try and fix the audio because the warranty only covers 1 year. I have seen reddit posts with a lot of people having this exact same issue. I would not recommend buying this TV at all. It is one of the most expensive TVs that you can buy. There are A LOT of other options at a much lower price point that offer the same quality.

Will Sound Output Be Enhanced?
I see that your new 2025 model has the following sound output capability. I see that your 2025 model has the following sound capability. Single view, simultaneous sound Our TV with simultaneous sound output lets you listen to a show on your headphones while your partner listens to the same show through the TV speakers. You can also change the volume using Bluetooth devices separately. Using Sony’s headphone, you can smoothly switch Bluetooth® connection from other devices. I have not yet added the Bravia Home Theater Quad to my A95L yet but, I don't see the above capability in the menus.

Hi MarkinBoulder, thank you for your question regarding the Sony - XR77A95L. That function that you mentioned where you can simultaneously output TV sound from the TV speakers and headphones, or an audio device and headphones at the same time is also available for your TV model. Here are the steps you can follow to enable it: 1- Connect your headphones or audio system device via Bluetooth to the TV 2- Press the quick settings button on the Sony remote (wrench) 3- Look for audio output and turn on the TV speakers There you have it! The TV speakers should be outputting sound and your Bluetooth device as well. If you'd like to take a further look into this feature, you can check this link below: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00049501?utm_source=glean Thank you for choosing Sony! Thanks for the feedback. Sound output from your TV's is a little confusing since it how one gets multiple outputs varies from model to model. However, I like very much how it is addressed by the A95L model.
Awesome TV
I've had my eye on this model for a good while now. It's voted the best on the market for a very good reason. Outstanding picture quality, functions, and apps. If you're after a TV that's the absolute best for Movies and gaming, then look no further. 10/10 😎👌🏻

Amazing Picture - not compatible with HomePod eARC
Amazing set, I went for the 55" as that's the size it was replacing, got everything hooked up and launched Disney+. That's where things took a slight downward trajectory. Unfortunately this set appears not to play nice with AppleTV & eARC, from the TV's apps, things play fine for a while, but they splutter a little on the audio front, it's enough to annoy when things worked great previously on my last Sony set. When using AppleTV for the Apps, the audio is out of sync to the image. If I use the sets built in speakers, all is good, apart from there's not enough bass. But hey, we buy these sets for picture quality don't we. That's where this set really stands out, the picture is top notch, on par with my 77" (XR77A80JU) if not better! Really bring the story to life when watching a Dolby Vision or IMAX movie. Can't rate it enough for that. Just need to sort my Audio woes out and I'll be a very happy boy! Only mentioning the AppleTV issue, so others are aware, I didn't see any reviews about these two together when making my mind up.

Stunning TV.
I bought this a month ago. The picture was absolutely perfect right out the box, I haven't felt the need to adjust it at all. The sound is really very good for a TV without a sound bar. I do plan to set mine up to work with external speakers, but I think many people would be quite happy without them.
