Part of Penguin's beautiful hardback Clothbound Classics series, designed by the award-winning Coralie Bickford-Smith, these delectable and collectible editions are bound in high-quality colourful, tactile cloth with foil stamped into the design. When Elizabeth Bennet first meets eligible bachelor Fitzwilliam Darcy, she thinks him arrogant and conceited; he is indifferent to her good looks and lively mind. When she later discovers that Darcy has involved himself in the troubled relationship between his friend Bingley and her beloved sister Jane, she is determined to dislike him more than ever. In the sparkling comedy of manners that follows, Jane Austen shows the folly of judging by first impressions and superbly evokes the friendships, gossip and snobberies of provincial middle-class life.

Beautiful design, but text contains errors

To be clear, this review is for the Chiltern Classics edition. The book itself is beautiful, but for whatever reason, the text contains errors. They aren't frequent (however, this is my first time reading Pride and Prejudice, so I may not have recognized some), but even one error is a disappointment, especially for the price. As such, I can't recommend this edition and I myself will be looking for a different edition, being sure to check for errors before purchasing.

A masterpiece by Austen & Chiltern Publishing

As a collecter of high quality books Chiltern never disappoints with their beautiful covers, premium paper, and large, no-run print for an easy read. As far as the book itself, Pride & Prejudice is a masterpiece of literature. Though somewhat predictable (as all of Austens’s books are), the journey of Elizabeth Bennet is worth a read in any corner of the globe. All that’s needed to enjoy is a comfortable place to relax and immerse yourself in the setting.

Beautiful cover and read

I love Jane Austen and have read most of her novels. Pride and Prejudice had me giggling and kicking my feet I loved it. If you liked this book I recommend reading Sense and Sensibility as well.
