Huge in the Shoulders

I wanted to love this rain jacket--I got it at a good sale price, the quality is excellent, it has a "cooler" vibe than most raincoats, is lightweight, has pit zips and extra pockets, etc. However, the fit was just awful. I usually wear a large in outerwear, but I ordered an XL for room to layer over a fleece zip and heavy sweaters. I was so disappointed when I tried it on. Not only were the hips too snug but also the fit across the shoulders was sloppy and HUGE. I could have worn football shoulder pads under this raincoat. I hope the company revisits its patterning for this item. Reluctantly, I had to return it.
