Wanted to Love Them
I purchased these in a 9.5 thinking a little bigger than my usual size 9 would allow for more room in the toe box. I was unfortunately wrong, they fit quite snug, even with standard socks. They look like nice rugged shoes which is what I was in the market for. Unfortunately the rather narrow toe box prompted me to return them.
Get 1/2 size larger, stiff rugged sole
This is a sturdy trail hiking boot, Skechers Relaxed Fit Trego Alpine .. but runs a half size small. I ordered up a half size larger, a 7 rather than my usual 6.5, and my foot just fit. With thick socks, it may even be a bit tight. The toe box has just enough room to wiggle toes a bit. The boot does have some odd padding surrounding the top of the ankle which is ok on one ankle but causes some weird pressure points on the other ankle. I will wear tall socks to avoid getting a rub, but I'm hoping with use the ankle padding will compress and be ok. The footbed is padded and nonslip inside, moderately comfortable and supportive. Tread is substantial and grippy, but not much flex in the sole ...which may be a good thing when hiking. Waterproof.

Wrong sizing
Nice looks but they were not that comfortable. Seemed sized incorrectly or something. I didn’t want to order a larger size since it didn’t make sense.

Relaxed Fit:Trego-Alpine Trail Hiking Boots
Good looking boots. Usually wear 6.5, but sized up to 7.0. Glad I did as my usual 6.5 would have been too small. Toe box is narrow for my feet, but acceptable with regular socks. I wanted to wear thick, winter socks with the boots, but wearing thick winter socks would make the boots too snug for my feet. Wished the boots come in Wide to make more room for toes and to accommodate thick winter socks.

Comfy hiking boots
love how comfortable these boots are! wore them multiple times already for camping and hiking. 🥾 i read the reviews before purchasing and decided to give it a shot even though some did not recommend but honestly i’ve had no issue with them and they do not look big either as others say. i also love the style, as i am very picky when it comes to shoes and hiking boots specifically! and it’s also true to size! 10/10 recommend.

Hiking boot looks HUGE
I have to admit I do have a big foot. I wear a 9 1/2. I usually focus on shoes that make my feet appear smaller. Although these hikers are light weight, they still look HUGE! I am still gonna keep them. It is what it is.
