Holes in the seams of the feet

Love how soft these are and the cute prints. We have them in several patterns, but they seem to get holes in the seams of the feet way too fast. My 12 month old sleeps in these about twice a week, and plays for about an hour in them when he wakes up. They are washed 1-2 times per week following the exact directions. Why is it that they are getting holes after just a few weeks? This has happened to each pair we own. Disappointed!
