: The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 📚 Overall Reading Experience & Impressions This book is an emotional rollercoaster filled with suspense, secrets, and unexpected twists. It starts off overwhelming with multiple characters, but by page 100, I couldn’t put it down! Liane Moriarty masterfully weaves together different storylines, revealing deep character flaws and moral dilemmas. The tension builds steadily, leading to a shocking and heartbreaking ending that leaves you thinking about the weight of secrets long after you finish the last page. ✅ What I Liked ✨ Engaging and suspenseful storyline ✨ Well-developed, complex characters ✨ Themes of morality and choices add depth ✨ Page-turner that keeps you hooked ❌ What Didn’t Work 🤯 Too many characters at the beginning—felt overwhelming 😡 Some character decisions were frustrating (looking at you, Tess!) 💔 The ending is heartbreaking and unfair 💭 Final Thoughts A must-read for fans of drama, suspense, and thought-provoking moral dilemmas. The story makes you question how well you truly know the people in your life and what secrets they might be hiding. 📌 Who Would I Recommend This To? 🎭 Fans of emotional dramas 🔍 Readers who love suspenseful, multi-character narratives 📖 Fans of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers 💬 Book clubs—so much to discuss! 🔥 Spice Rating: 1/5 (Minimal romance, more emotional drama) 🔞 Age Rating: 16+ (Mature themes, some heavy emotional moments)

excellent book as all her books are!!!!

highly recommend, I do feel all her books start off a little slow, there are 3 families involved in this , so keep them straight so you get the full effect of this book. Loved it as I love all her books

Just what I needed. A quick read.

Liane Moriarty has become one of my favorite authors. I discovered her books during the pandemic. She knows how to grab my attention and The Husband’s Secret delivered just what I needed. As with many of her books, Moriarty’s stories often incorporate many characters and story lines that come together nicely but there is usually a main thread to pull you in and in The Husband’s Secret, Cecilia finds an envelope that is addressed to her, written in her husband’s hand. The instructions on the envelope ask that it be opened in the event of his death. His death? She wants desperately to read it, but when she mentions the letter to her husband John-Paul, who is very much alive, he begs her not to. Inside of that envelope is a secret he’s been keeping that will forever change their lives. What I really enjoy about these novels is that Moriarty always manages to include the neighborhood in the story. The other characters are neighbors or friends or people you see at the school drop off. Their lives seem on the surface to be pretty perfect, but they are presented with challenges and not-so-pretty moments. Definitely not the shiny, sparkly moments captured on say, Instagram. In addition to Cecilia’s plight above, we have Tess and Will who are happily married, or so they thought, until Tess’s cousin admits to being in love with her husband. We also have Rachel, a women who has had to deal with the grief of her daughter’s murder. A murder that was never solved and now her only son is taking his wife and son out of the country and Rachel will be without the distraction of her darling grandson, Jacob. How will she cope? The Husband’s Secret was a satisfying read. The characters are so well-drawn and as a reader, you get the feeling that you are listening to a private moment between two people and I just love that. I think I have about three Moriarty novels left for me to read but so far, this is one of my favorites.

Good Read!

I was first a little disappointed because of the lack of romance (I was told there would be lots of it!), it was well written with lots of moral dilemmas. I especially loved the ending/epilogue and how it further explains the characters and their futures!!! I really enjoyed this book.

Very good

For this author this is one of her best books yet. Better then big little lies even. I didn’t get bored like I mostly do with her reads. What Alice forget was ok as was truly madly guilty was ok.
