Stellar Star Wars Story!

In Ahsoka, we find the titular Jedi in hiding, bereft of her friends and mentor. The Empire rises, and the aftermath of Order 66 has left her feeling unmoored and isolated. As she struggles to find purpose in this new world, new enemies reveal themselves, and the Empire's atrocities on an Outer Rim moon force Ahsoka to decide whether to continue running from the conflict, or to take a stand and help others do the same. From the very beginning, Johnston does an excellent job of conveying Ahsoka's feelings of loneliness and isolation. Flashbacks to time with her mentor, combined with the fact that she doesn't really know what all has happened leading up to and post-Order 66, make for an emotional read. A very well-written YA book, but I would highly recommend for adults as well. If you're wanting to learn more about this character, particularly during this period of transition from Galactic Republic to Galactic Empire, this is a MUST read!

Incredible

Warning! Big detailed book review incomming! What happened to her, Ahsoka, the siege of Mandalore, order 66, then… gone. Disappeared to the outer rim. Well, now you can find out. Title: Ahsoka Author: E. K. Johnston Date of release: October 11, 2016 Ahsoka follows the story of, well, Ahsoka. After Order 66, she and Rex split up, this book is about what happens to Ahsoka. She finds her way to a small farming moon Raada and meets a few people she comes to call friends. Eventually, the Empire comes to Raada, and Ahsoka is forced to fight with her friends or flee. What she ends up doing is a very fun and exciting story. When I first got this book, honestly I thought it was just going to be a cool book about Ahsoka, and I didn’t expect much from the author. But when I started reading I was blown away by the talent of this author E. K. Johnston. The way she wrote the book was just incredible, the words and sentences all had a kind of realness to them, and I found myself fully immersed in the story. Plus the story itself, the plot, and the characters were just amazing, the way the author was able to show Ahsokas personality just as we knew it, and the development of the character was amazing. Along with the other characters in the book, each of them being diverse and interesting made me never feel bored. One of the cooler parts of the book was the short interludes that also ended up tying into Ahsoka’s story. I have read some books where the interludes are long and have nothing to do with the story at hand. This book was just incredible and I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Star Wars, or if you are just looking for a good book, though some parts may not make sense like some references to the past. Easy five stars, Impeccable!
