Wallet has a strong smell

The wallet is small but omg what an odor. Not sure what the smell is. Not of leather for sure. So if you buy be prepared is not a pleasant odor and I am not sure if it will go away. For that reason I am returning the wallet I did not unwrap it cuz of the odor. It just was enough for me to know is not for my hubby.
