Interesting and readable, a gift to a 10yr old and he's loving learning about the world, since they rarely do in school any longer he is finding great facts about the world. He was a little uninterested when he originally thought it was a book about Geometry and not Geography so now that that was explained he's having fun reading and hopefully will be prepared for school if the topic ever comes up. He said he found it interesting and exciting reading and learning and is looking forward to reading more.
Lonely Planet Amazing World Atlas
I am a Montessori Grades 1-3 teacher. Published in 2020 this book has great introductions to map reading, photographs are beautiful and culturally relevant, inclusive in describing the global peoples past and present, represents 196 independent countries including an exceptional section of flags only. Visually a dynamic book for teacher lesson presentation as well as a student friendly resource for independent study. I can't wait to share this book next year with the class. I know I will have to purchase more than one.
