An enchanting fairytale!
“How could they know what they could be if no one told them what they couldn’t?” This book sucked me in from page one. A wonderful fairy tale with adventure, mystery, and humor. When it first shifted away from Cerys to the POV of Fox, I knew I would love this book. Fox is hilarious as well as tender. The love story is sweet and well-paced, and doesn’t dominate the fairly tale—it’s a part of the bigger story. There was also subtle LGBTQ representation in this book that was well done. It wasn’t present in the main storyline/characters but a few people were highlighted, simply living their truth, their open love celebrated by the masses in this world.

Wanted to love this book
I want to give this book more stars because the premise sounded really good, but after listening to the book, I just didn't connect with it as much as I hoped. There are definietly great classic fairytale qualities, but overall the book just felt a little young for me.
