out of stock or not

order this wok for my birthday when its on sale in November, it got cancelled by Macy because it was out of stock. however, Macy continues to sell it at a higher price. I spent hours with customer service and finally ordered another one at the November sale price. I was told again it is out of order and want to know if I want to cancel it. I checked it is available on line and can be shipped within 3-5 days. I call customer services again today, and was told the wok is out of stock and has no shipping date. my question is if its out of stock, why Macy's still sale them on line and promiss to ship within 5 days? or it is out of stock for those paying lower prices?

Good product at the right price

This is our third one of these woks. They don't last forever if you use it like a carbon steel wok, meaning high heat on a gas stove. Life can be extended if you use lower heat and silicon utensils at all times. Otherwise the surface will scratch badly over time (a few years) and you need to buy a new one when Macy's puts in on sale, which is our strategy. It comes with a nice lid for some reason, but it never gets used because it's a wok.

First time using carbon steel

The wok is beautiful, not heavy as cast iron. Need to follow seasoning instruction to ensure it’s non-stick.
