When two troubled souls collide in New York Times bestselling author Mia Sheridan's emotional, heart-wrenching love story, can they break the silence of the past to find hope, happiness, and love? A Good read's "Top Romance Novel of All Time" A New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestseller I wanted to lose myself in the small town of Pelion, Maine. To forget everything I had left behind. The sound of rain. The blood. The coldness of a gun against my skin. For six months, each breath has been a reminder that I survived and my dad didn't. I'm almost safe again. But the moment I meet Archer Hale, my entire world tilts on its axis . . . and never rights itself again. Until I trespass into his strange, silent, and isolated world, Archer communicates with no one. Yet in his whiskey-colored eyes, something intangible happens between us. There's so much more to him than just his beauty, his presence, or the ways his hands communicate with me. On me. But this town is mired in secrets and betrayals, and Archer is the explosive center of it all. So much passion. And so much hurt. But it's only in Archer's silence that we might just find what we need to heal . . . and live. Includes an exclusive extended epilogue from Archer's POV.

Love it. Worth to read.

Archer and Bree. I love their story. It was simple: small town, slow burn and spicy but in reality it went like - happy, spicy, happy, spicy, happy, crying, happy, tears, shock, crying, happy. It was so easy to read and I did enjoy every moment. Both Archer and Bree had rough past but bright future and they fought for it. Also, with good people around them and their strong connection, there was no option to fail. “I lost my heart to you. And, Bree, in case you’re wondering, I don’t ever want it back.” Ps. Is it weird that I was hoping for Archer to have his voice back?

Heart breaking and beautiful'

I wasn't sure that I was a fan of the writing style in the beginning, but as I kept going I realized that it was for a purpose. The way men layered in emotion and the way she told these characters' stories hit just right. This book is definitely a bit traumatizing. Both Archer and Bree have lost their parents in equally tragic ways. but that lost shapes who they are, and watching them connect through that pain was so moving. and I love a man who knows how to feel. Archer didn't know how to show emotion in a healthy way at first. He was isolated, quiet, and unsure of how to navigate a world I never made space for him. But Bree saw him, not as weird or broken, but someone worth knowing and loving. She helped him grow, and helped him find himself on his own terms. This book was truly heart-breakingly beautiful. Emotional depth meets romantic suspense

Quick Opinion 💭: Emotional depth meets romantic suspense Why I Read This 📌: Popular BookTok romance recommendation My Summary 📝: Bree, haunted by a traumatic night, seeks peace in a quiet, small town where she meets Archer, a reclusive man burdened by silence and sorrow. My Review 🩵: For a romance novel, this one had a surprising tone of suspense and excitement thanks to the hidden pasts of both main characters. The mystery woven into their backstories added emotional weight and depth to the love story. Bree and Archer complemented each other beautifully, not just in their passion, but in how they carried their pain and chose growth. Their mutual healing felt earned and heartfelt. This is the perfect small-town romance for readers who love a balanced couple and a plot with emotional layers.

Soft porn

How can anybody even begin to think this is a book for teenagers? If teens are now reading books with this much descriptive sex then it's no wonder they're all messed up. Anyway, I had high hopes for this book and then after about 25% of it I realized it was stupidly repetitive with very little plot. It's nothing but soft porn. At 75% I just skipped to the end and then deleted it. What a waste of time.
