Good but not great

I’m a casual 2-3 times a week, 2-4 miles on average, runner. Not only do these shoes look good but the gel feels great as well. It’s soft but not too soft. I also love the lightweight nature of the shoes. My only issue is that I wanted more arch support.

ok but wrong direction

This is a new model and seems a little heavier than previous gel-kayano (27 and lower), a little more like Hoka for stability. My earlier models of asics were fine for stability. I won't return them because I need the sneakers and I value the quality and fit of asics.

Ruined a perfectly good shoe with this edition

I am a long term Gel Kayano runner, purchasing the Gel Kayano 29 on sale to replace my last stocked pair of 27's. Where once my feet were happy, they are now, without a doubt, miserable. The forefoot is to narrow, there is very little forefoot depth to accommodate my foot with orthotic and it is now stiff, vs simply firm, seemingly lacking in cushion. I truly hope this was improved with the Gel Kayano 30 or soon to be available 31 edition. I fear I will now need to find a new shoe. I don't know why you did this Asics. It seems you completely forgot about the runner this shoe was developed for.

Good pronation support shoe

I purchased the sage green with golden logo shoes for my mom. The fit is comfortable, prevents her from going to hyper pronation. The shoes don’t look flashy. The only drawback is the lace feels shorter.
