SimpliSafe cameras are not supported

tried for hours and multiple configurations but unable to get SimpliSafe cameras and doorbells to connect. Even when just running the 2.4 radio by its self didn’t work. Trivandrum on and off. The base station connects but that’s it. Had to continue to use my TP link to support the 2.4 environment. Disappointed for sure. However for streaming and gaming it’s easy and fast.

Excellent WiFi system

Stable, great range, strong signal, relatively easy setup. There were a couple of setup details that more experienced users may have intuitively known, but I had to contact technical help for steps that really should be explicitly stated in the instructions but are not. Once I got it up and running, it's been great. Tech help was excellent.

Great router, subpar GUI.

Alright so the router itself performs great. It has awesome range and the mesh system works really well which is why I’ll give 5 stars. The management GUI on the other hand seems to have been stripped down and has way more focus on making the router look pretty than offer the desired fine tuning I was looking for. The QoS functions are absolutely useless. I want to be able to assign device priority in a straightforward manner like I was able to on older routers please.

Conquering Thick Walls with the ROG Rapture GT6

“We live in a concrete-cinderblock house with thick walls that kill Wi-Fi. Our cable internet struggled to reach the far end, leaving us with spotty video calls, buffering TVs, and laggy gaming. I asked Grok to recommend a mesh system based on our setup, usage (work, streaming, gaming), and budget. It ranked the ROG Rapture GT6 as the best fit, and it’s been a game-changer. Setup took a little effort—syncing the modem required a reboot sequence—but it’s worth it. The GT6’s dedicated mesh backbone keeps the router and node talking on a separate band, so our devices get full speed. No more bandwidth battles, even with 4K streaming and video calls running together. Dead zones are gone, and everything’s smooth, even through our thick walls. Great value for anyone needing reliable Wi-Fi in a tough space.”

Excellent Product

I replaced my existing home wifi setup with the GT6 2 pack. Setup was easy, the coverage and increased speeds was better than expected. I have a 1Gbps service and the wired Mac computers average 925 down and 960 up consistently. I tested the wifi speed software and average over 500 down in most areas of the house and the two corners with the least amount of coverage is over 300 down. Outside coverage is ok.

Router just stopped connecting.

Failed, under warranty. Sent in and they sent back a complete new set. Hope it lasts longer because the features included are extensive. Haven't had a chance to inspect them all yet.

Better mesh system

My old mesh routers worked fine but were end of life and therefore a security risk and had to be replaced. My main router was still supported so I kept that device, and replaced the two end of life units with this 2 pack of GT-6's. I'm glad I did. My internet speeds are faster throughout the house, and my devices are supported and still getting patched by ASUS. The only negative of the upgrade is that the GT-6's have 3 LAN ports instead of 4, and I think that is a mistake. My old mesh routers had 4 LAN ports and yes I actually used them in one area of the house.
