It's ok

We have been several generations of Noritake owners. This set is not up to the standards that we are used to, and as such are considering returning. It looks nice, but it is not true bone china as advertised...meaning, you cannot see your hand through the china. And everyone knows that bone china is enabled to see a shadow in the light. Misleading description.

Understated Elegance

I bought the 50pc service for 8 of Noritake's Austin Platinum. I've never had china and at this age didn't want to spend a lot. I originally order on place setting of a floral pattern. II was very pretty but I didn't love it. When I saw the Austin Platinum setting and zoomed in on each piece I knee this is what I wanted. Every piece was n perfect condition--I check them all. I replaced them bc I'll be moving & want to wait nd start using in my new place. Macy's prices beat everyone else's. Just buy they--you will be glad you did!

Beautiful set

I am really pleased with this dinnerware set overall. The design is fantastic, and it adds a beautiful touch to my table. However, one of the plates arrived broken. While it was a bit disappointing, it didn’t ruin my overall experience. I’m not too upset about it and may consider adding more pieces to the set in the future.
