First black suit!
I bought this suit less than 24 hours ago and wore it off the rack to an event. Not only were the pants, jacket, and vest comfortable but I also received a lot of compliments on the entire ensemble. As a man who is 5'11" and weighs 165 lbs, it is often difficult to shop for suits online because of my long, lanky limbs. The slimmer profile of this suit fit me perfectly and was a better choice than the EXTRA SLIM style from Bar III. My only complaint is that the vest is slightly snug but not uncomfortable. My advice would be to buy the suit jacket and vest in your usual size but size the pants up 1-2 inches in the waist (I usually wear a 30x32 but I purchased a 32x32 because it fit much better). Otherwise, this is a very classy-looking suit that is great for evening events!

I am 160 lbs 5'10. This suit fits me perfectly. I had to shorten sleeves a little but looks great!

Great quality suit for the price. fabric is thick and feels strong. wool has a matte finish. the fit is amazing for those with particularly smaller builds (like myself....I am 5'3 and 135 lbs#. The description says notch lapel, but it actually has a slim peak lapel. This gives the suit a more formal overtone, appropriate for special events, weddings, etc. Not so much for everyday office use. That being said, if you need a suit for a formal occasion #I bought it for my wedding#, and you have a small build #and typically have trouble finding suits that fit properly), you should give Bar III a try. This is my second Bar III suit and I will likely buy a third.
Best fitting suit!
I've never been able to find a suit that actually fits me. I'm 5'9, 145lbs. I bought the Calvin Klein in a 36S, 30x30 and the pants fit well but the jacket was still huge on me. Then I discovered Bar 3. This is how clothes are suppose to fit! Went with the 34S & 30x30. Perfect!!!! I like a very slim, well fitting suit and this is just perfect for my body type. I even had the Calvin tailored extensively and the Bar 3 still fits me better off the rack. I got the Midnight Blue & Black. Both 3 piece and couldn't be happier. Everyone asks who my tailor is. Finally a true slim fit suit. I will say that I think the material on the CK is a bit better & I'm not crazy about the lapel on the black Bar 3 suit but you can not beat how the Bar 3 suits are cut and the price point is great. I will only be buying these from now on. Ultra modern look.
good basic black suit
my first Bar III suit. slimmer fit than the Alfani Red and Calvin Klein. very nice detail work inside and out. lightweight wool material, pants lined to the knee. i would give the material a B+ rating, as it does not have the elegant sheen of the navy or charcoal materials of the Alfani Red or Calvin suits that i recently purchased. i wear a 42R coat, and the fit was acceptable with the Bar III 42R. normally wear 32 X 30 pants, but had to order 33 X 30 for best fit. as mentioned in another review, this suit has a very formal look to it. will be a very good addition to any wardrobe! (BTW, i purchased this same suit for my 16 year old son for homecoming: 6'3" and 170#. terrific slim fit with a 40L and 34 X 32.)
Beautiful Suit
This suit is great for weddings, funerals, or black tie events. Bar III runs very slim, and also, as others have said, maybe even a touch small so make sure you try it on before you order online. I recommend getting the vest with this combo as it looks fantastic. I have 6 weddings coming up this year and I can't wait to bust this thing out. Highly recommended.
