Thread came undone below neckline

Bought this sweater for my daughter the Friday after Thanksgiving. We were visiting San Francisco from out of town not realizing 50 degrees in SF feels like 30 degrees out in the Midwest. Anyways my daughter wore once to dinner that night and within the hour the thread right below the neckline had come completely undone. No snag no movement. Simply came undone with no way of re-sewing at restaurant. Pretty sweater (extra star) horrid quality
