Ken Fashionistas Doll 212 With Jersey and Prosthetic Leg
Product details
Web ID: 16479641great way to introduce prosthetics
This doll is a great way to introduce prosthetics to my children while having fun. My six-year-old son asked questions but moved on quickly. I was hoping having a boy Barbie would encourage my son to play with his sisters when they played, but he still has no interest. My two daughters like having a boy Barbie, but rarely play with him. Ken's prosthetic leg can be taken off. It is easy to take off and put back on. This Ken Barbie is made well. My son was rough with it and tried to pull the foot out of its prosthetics. I glued it back on and haven't had an issue since then.

Inclusive doll
This is a great inclusive doll. We had the Barbie version and it’s a great addition. Wish there was more mechanical detail to the prosthetic leg. Also that there was more movement on knees and ankles as well.

Excellent toy in general.
I’m a physical therapist and this was one way to introduce my children ( a toddler and school-aged) on persons with disabilities, what amputation and prosthesis are. Of course this also opened up questions on how the doll lost it limbs (shark bite, car crash etc), igniting my 8 year old’s imagination and further conversations on kindness to persons with physical challenges. As expected of Barbie brand, this is made of hard plastic that can withstand rough play by a toddler (doubling as an airplane). Finally, I am ecstatic that this particular doll happens to have some likeness with my children (dark skinned SouthEast Asian).

Boy Doll with Prosthetic Leg
I love this whole line of dolls that don't look like the typical Barbie or Ken dolls. I think they are more relatable and show kids that we all look different. And that is ok! The leg does pop off, which is great. Kids can see how that prosthetic leg works. They were fascinated. He fits right in with the other dolls.

Well made and very detailed.
This has got to be the most well-made and detailed Ken we own. My girls have loved playing with him and introducing him into the rest of their Barbie crew. I especially love the representation of the limb difference.

Awesome toy!
This is a great toy. I love that the Barbie doll is different than the others and has a prosthetic leg. His differences from other Barbie dolls led to a great conversation with my kids. They asked questions and were curious, and then played with the Barbie just like they would with any other doll. The only thing I dislike is that the leg is difficult for my child to put on independently. The shorts often get stuck where the leg goes on, and this prevents the leg from easily snapping into place.

Inclusion matters
My daughter was excited to get a Ken doll, we don’t have many of them. We pulled him out of the box and it took her a bit to notice his leg, once she did she was quite excited. We are happy to see a doll that looks like people we know and shows inclusion. The doll is well made and held her attention.
