Great Gift
My daughter loves playing with her dreamtopia in the bathtub without the slim inside the dolls tail . She also likes playing with the blue and purple slime .The slime doesn't dry out in the two secure pouches.

Such a pretty Barbie doll!
The Barbie Dreamtopia Mermaid Doll is so pretty, but I was a little confused about it. I thought she had legs that could then be hidden by the mermaid tail, and my daughter was very disappointed by this, too. You are supposed to detach the tail by pressing a button and filling it with one of the 2 sparkly packages of slime that come with the doll. I have let my daughter play with the slime outside of the doll, but I just see filling the tail with slime going so very wrong! If she forgets to remove it, slime will most definitely ooze out of the tail and onto the rest of her dolls or the carpet.

Fun Mermaid Doll with Slime
Great for my 9 year old grand daughter. She has been having a great time playing with this doll/slime. She loves the colors and the tail. Wonderful for bath time.

Cool concept. Meh execution.
I got this for my mermaid obsessed five year old. She was super excited to open up the package when she saw the Barbie. Then she saw the slime and freaked out even more. We put the slime in (not the super sticky slime that gets everywhere) and she started playing. Ten seconds later she asked for a bowl of water so she could let her mermaid swim, which is when we found out that unfortunately this mermaid can’t go in the water. This was disappointing, but not a deal breaker for her. She’s had the toy for a few weeks and typically takes it on car trips or just drags it around the house. It is unfortunate it can’t join her in the bath or the pool, but she still has fun with it. I will see that once we put the slime in the first day she has not opened it up to play with it since. It may have been better to just have the slime already in the toy and waterproofed it.

Gorgeous & Unique Barbie
My daughter LOVES mermaid and slime, so this doll was perfect! The mermaid Barbie is gorgeous and my daughter loves to bring her in the bathtub to play. The slime was a big hit too. We’ve had great luck storing it in an airtight food container so that it doesn’t dry out.

Hours of Fun
My 10 year old daughter has been obsessed with Barbies and Mermaids her entire life so finding a Barbie that is a mermaid is like her absolute favorite and adding slime to the mix takes this one over the top for her. She just turned 10 so I gave it to her for her birthday. She was ecstatic to see this when she unwrapped it. The Barbie Dreamtopia Mermaid Doll is beautiful. The only negative for us is that the slime is hard to get into the tail. The tail is easily removable but you have to make sure to get the slime thin enough to go into the tail; therefore, my daughter wanted mom's help, which I don't mind but it would be nice if it was easier for younger children to play with without needing a parent's assistance. Most kids my daughter's age probably could do it on their own but my daughter doesn't like to do much without my assistance or without my participation. So if you are interested in getting this Barbie for your child just be aware that they may need your assistance to get the slime in and out of the tail. The tail is very squishy and fun for kids to play with. Also, your child can just play with the slime by itself if they choose and can play with the Barbie without it. The only other negative I have is it can't be put into water due to the slime. We have a swimming pool so she can't put it in the water and mermaids live in the water so that makes little sense to me and especially my daughter. Other than those two negatives, my daughter loves her Barbie Dreamtopia Mermaid Doll with slime. I highly recommend it for children who love Barbies, Mermaids and Slime!

Interesting idea, and fun doll!
My 7-year-old was very excited at the idea of getting a mermaid Barbie, and was not disappointed with this one. She loves that it comes with two kids of glittery slime to put in her tail, and that she's a princess. I will say that the slime is a bit less exciting to mom and dad, but it stays contained nicely in her tail, and we set up a rule that if she wanted the slime changed out, she needed to come find an adult to help with that. So we haven't had any slime issues, but it's definitely something to keep in mind, as a child can fairly easily pop the tail off with the button on her back. Other than that, the slime is a bit of a pain to get into the tail, but letting gravity settle it out over a day or so seems to work best, then adding a bit more if needed. You will end up with glittery hands in the process, but the glitter washes off easily. The slime is much easier to remove than it is to put in. And I like that the packages the slime comes in a resealable. Much like the past few Barbies we've gotten, she's fastened to the packaging in a rather excessive way. It was really hard to cut her away from the package without cutting her hair, so I wish that's something they'd reconsider But beyond that, she's really well made, and definitely a different idea than I've seen before. My 7-year-old is happy and really enjoys playing with her, so I'd recommend it if you think you and your child will be able to come up with a way to deal with the slime that everyone is happy with.

Great slime!
We just got Barbie Dreamtopia and one thing is for certain, the slime is the perfect recipe and comes with an extra pre made slime pack. It holds together and doesn’t attach itself to the things it touches. Of note I was very curious how well the slime would hold up in the tail and I’m happy to say just fine her tail has a seal much like other kitchen storage containers. Barbie came with a beautiful crown to match her swim suit however we wished it came with a brush. Overall, great Barbie with great slime!
