It's Barbour, but...

The hood itself is fine and I appreciate the structure around the front that allows it to stay open, but the color is completely different than the matching jacket (the hood is brown and the jacket is truly olive). I know this can happen with waxed cotton, but it would be good to know ahead of time so that expectations can be adjuated.

Great good for Men’s Ashby Jacket

Bought for my navy Ashby jacket. It is great for cold weather to keep my head, neck and face area warmer. Great classic jacket and hood. I am 6’3” 165-170 lbs and the Ashby jacket Sz 40 is perfect for me. I can layer or wear solo and the jacket looks great!

I love Barbour!

Perfect! I have been looking for this to add for my husband's rain jacket. He had wanted one for a couple of years, but never wanted to spend the money for a "hood" attachment. Macy's had this on sale, so I bought it for him as a gift!

Great hood!

This hood is a great addition to my Barbour jacket. Although it says "men's" it fits my size 4 women's jacket. I love that it has a wire in it so it can be shaped the way you need it. And, because it snaps on, it's very easy to take on and off the jacket.

Make My Beadnell Jacket More Useful

Though Bloomie has it under "Men's" department, I found the item number on the hood identical to the one on Barbour website, which does not indicate men's or women's. The snap lineup works fine! Very useful. If you don't like the wire, you can actually remove it. Do not like the lables and logos visible when wearing the hood.
