Unhappy customer

Macy's is very awful on letting the customer know that the item is out of stock, and they let you order it and after week of waiting for the item to be shipped, then they send you the email about the item being out of stock and it happens to me three times in less than week and they should have let the customer know about the out stock items when you are checking out. please come up with a better way to let know they customers know about the item (s)being out of stock. Three times in one week is too many.
