Broken twice and support doesn't respond!

Our Beast has broken twice. The top loses connection with the base so the orange indicator light won't turn white to run the blender. And no, cleaning it does not resolve the issue. The first time it broke, Beast sent us a new top with the explicit message that this was a one time resolution. Their response made it seem like this was a common request (i.e. the top and base lose connection often). Shortly after using the new top, the issue reoccured. Admittedly, we blend smoothies daily and use a lot of ingredients, but this blender is sold as a "powerhouse" for daily use. I emailed Beast for help and ... crickets. I don't feel like this blender is made to go the distance for serious smoothie drinkers. I would appreciate some resolution from their end on the issue, but I will likely buy a different blender. Can't recommend it from a function standpoint, although it looks nice on the counter.

Smelly blender

We’ve had ours for over a year or two and have struggled cleaning it. There’s a silicone ring on the motor/blade part that you can’t remove and food get trapped underneath. I saw other reviews mentioning the same issue. The trapped particles makes your cup smelly and is overall just gross. Ended up returning ours for a ninja. Loved the aesthetics on the beast though. Just wished they thought it through when it comes to cleaning.

Hi Jen, Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear your Beast Blade held an odor. This can happen if the blade area isn’t scrubbed after each use. Also, just a note: the gasket is designed to stay in place and allow water to pass through, so it shouldn’t be removed. If you’re open to giving the Beast another try, here are some cleaning tips to keep everything fresh: 1. If you'd like a deeper wash, all parts of the blender -- except for the base -- can be washed in the dishwasher. Just be sure to put the pieces on the top shelf. We recommend doing this as least once a week for best results. 2. Once a week, do a simple blend with 2/3 of a vessel of water and a couple drops of dish soap, and let it run for a minute. 3. Once a month, clean the vessel and blade with ½ Vinegar & ½ Water. 4. We recommend placing your Beast Blade with the non-blade side down in between uses to allow all of the water to completely dry out. 5. Finally, we recommend scrubbing your vessel and blade with a brush after every use. If you blend frequently, consider keeping a spare blade on hand to rotate and extend longevity. Good as it goes. Great smoothies on the learning curve

Great product so far. When I turned it on for the first time it smelled and produced a strong smoke odor as something was burning but it went away subsequently. Have t added nuts or seeds to it etc but fruits and vegetables it works with these greatly. I don’t like cold drinks so can’t say how it handles ice. If you want peace of mind that’s absolute, get the 1200 watt model. So far so good. Activate your warranty also as I did mine.
