Useless Customer Service

The dress is being offered for 50 percent off during a Black Friday Deal but is ringing up full price at checkout. I contacted customer service and they said they can’t do anything and that I would need to reach out to the seller. I have never heard of such a thing. Why advertise it at a discount and then not offer it?
