I can use CarPlay!

I was shocked to learn Apple did not make this type of cable; especially since not every car (I have a 2021) has a USB-C port)! But so glad that a trusted company like Belkin came through with a good product at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Only lasted 6 months in car

Worked well while it worked. 6 months later intermittently charges. Would not buy again

Best alternative to Apple's for data and charging

At the moment, there are very few USB-A to USB-C cables that will move data, i.e, will work with Apple Car Play. Right now, it's looks like Apple's, which is more expensive, and this one. Note that it is USB 2.0, which transfers data at a top speed of 480 Mbps, which is enough for Car Play. Note also this cable supports standard charging up to 15W.
