This blanket sheds very badly!

I washed this blanket the day I received it in the mail. We had some dark colored laundry in with the blanket, and they were covered with lots and lots of lint from the blanket. I then carried the blanket to my bedroom, and my shirt was covered in lint. This blanket sheds like the way the worst dog breed sheds! It also had lots and lots of pills/small lint balls all over it after being washed.
