Disappointed, tried 3 sizes./ huge armholes

This looks great in the model, but runs large. I never thought I should size down with Betsey. 5'3" I knew it would be longer on me, and I was ok with that, but my regular dress sizes 12 and 14 ( top 40D) were enormous, gaping armholes. Then tried a 10 which had a nicer fit, but armholes were still cut way to low... unless you can go out braless... I'm too old for that..lol I really love the vintage style. Too bad.
