Customer service needs help

My grandson will love this shirt as his Papa is a Commanders fan. I called customer service as there are no sizes listed 8 or 10/12 or 14/16. I spoke with someone (from another country) that confirmed the M was going to be a size 8 (which is what I needed for my grandson). As it turns out, it is a 10/12 and he needs to wear it this Friday. I thought about purchasing another in a small with expedited shipping but he will wear the one I bought.
