I would never buy another one or recommend it!!!
Biggest piece of junk for a cleaner we have ever owned. Does OK on carpets nothing to get excited about. The upholstery attachment is a total joke won't spray water and if it does there is no suction to get the water sucked up.

Carpets looks new again
Only negative is loud (but the noise can be overlooked due to machine performance) slight ringing in ears if using for hours @ entire floor/building 1) vacuum first 2) use machine as wanted 3) advised to rinse carpets @ no soap, afterwards (depending on type the soap attracts dirt quickly) _____ It removed/cleaned carpet only using HOT water (no formula, soap...) @ just needed 2 passes drying completely in-between. ***I recommend using a foaming sanitizer hand soap to clean machine afterwards*** using the TRAY (the foam, soap dries immediately, repels water, water beads immediately = prevents odors/mildew) - ALLOWED TO DRY COMPLETELY BEFORE STORAGE (out of sunlight = clear plastic turns yellow and cracks) ____ Packaging = contains mildew @ pressed/shaped cardboard inserts absorbs humidity (once aired out = machine didn't smell) "green ensentive" but id prefer Styrofoam over cardboard (easier to repackage upon moving/storage)

Pet version is better @ BASIC everyday
BULKY. I only expect 24 months of use. $100/year should be expected ***Major downside is poor heating*** must use warm water then unit makes it slightly hotter (as main complaint with other reviews) Due to pricing I'll only recommend buying while on sale (Xmas. Spring. And Xmas-july) the accessories are useless and no storage options (I only bought for BASE @ easier to store post-maintenance without worries about leakage = everything else is useless @ requires a different product portable version -or- steam mop = must buy 2/3+ types DONT EXPECT an all-in-one) ***bissell cleaning supplies are generic*** (only buying the name @ not the performance)

Thanks for your reviews. The HydroSteam® model includes a steam setting, which is designed to boost cleaning power—though it still works best when starting with warm water. We understand your concerns about bulk, accessory storage, and the need for multiple machines depending on the task. If we can help with your machiune in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us at support.bissell.com.
Does not live up to the Bissell name and reputatio
I have owned many carpet cleaners in the past, including a few Bissells and by far this is the weakest and potentially wettest I’ve owned. When I don’t like about this, is you either do the quick dry and almost no water gets picked up or you do the steam and the more powerful and unbelievably wetter maybe I should call it a max mode. The water tank empties in that mode very quickly and it takes several hours For the carpet to even start to dry. I think I’m gonna go back to my green machine. I’m very disappointed with this product and I don’t know how it’s receive so many “paid” YouTube reviews.

We’re sorry to hear the HydroSteam® didn’t meet your expectations—especially as a longtime BISSELL user. The steam mode is designed for deep cleaning, but it shouldn’t leave carpets overly wet. It sounds like there may be an issue with suction or tank alignment. Please reach out at support.bissell.com—we’d love to help troubleshoot and improve your experience.
A game changer
This is the best carpet cleaner I have ever had. I have pets and even with vacuuming thoroughly before using the shampooer this beast pulls out hair and debris I could not imagine was in there. The steam clean option is a game changer and my carpets feel truly clean after using it. I operate a cat rescue and had a litter of kittens that were surrendered with ringworm, if you know anything about ringworm you know that it's easier to rip out your carpet then trying to sanitize it for this fungus; not only was I able to keep the carpets sanitized, the base for the cleaner made it easy as pie to sanitize the actual machine after use. The base also makes it easy to keep the machine anywhere you need to without having to leave it out to dry because the base allows air flow and catches any remaining water. I have had this machine for over a year now and it works as good as the day it arrived. From pet messes to everyday freshness, this machine is worth every penny.

Great machine once I......
I really like this machine a lot once I Velcro mounted weights on the front deck of machine. Without that it leaves to much water in PLUSH carpet….water that’s dirty. This issue is nothing unique to this machine but is a little worse than the old pro heat x2 going back to the late 1990’s model line. I put weights on those machines too, but just at the end after the rinse round. I can understand the issues that would arise from making it heavy in the factory, from sales to shipping. However for me, I will sacrifice light weight for performance. If they sold weights for it as an accessory; something integrated into the machine so it retains that polished look, I’d give it a strong five stars all day long. It scrubs good with the dual brushes, I really like that. The steam feature is definitely a nice addition….effective as well. The tanks hold a little more than previous models with the bladder system….or seem to. The motor Is powerful smooth & quite. Dispense rate of water flow is sufficient on max clean setting , as is the steam pre-treat setting. The setting for light water flow/quick dry is a nice feature to have when needed. I’m just glad they brought back an electric heater for the water/steam and not that hokey brain fart someone at Bissell had….with running the water line by the motor exhaust to “heat” the water gimmick….. oh please.

Would but again! Not even a second thought.
Replaced my old Bissell from 15 years ago. It still worked but I wanted newer technology. We got a new puppy and this has been working fantastic! Rainy weather and muddy feet with occasional accidents have been cleaned up with no problems!
