BISSELL surface sense vacuum

This vacuum self adjusts from bare floor to capet ( a real plus). The dirt cup is very large which I love. Can do the whole house without having to empty it.

Not made for everyday use

I used these vacuum for my carpeted living room and not even 2 years of use and the wheel had fallen off and the coiled hose is already tearing. I don’t think this vacuum is made for everyday use and now in the market of looking for a better vacuum unfortunately

Surface Sense Allergen Pet Lift-Off

This vacuum is wonderful! I have two Aussie Shepherds. And I have fur everywhere. This vacuum helps control the tumbleweeds and the clumps of fur that I constantly battle. I love that the canister lifts off from the base/wheels so I can walk down the hall with the hose attachment and clean up along the baseboards. Same thing with stairs, it makes it much easier to navigate.

Nope

I hated this vacuum from the moment I got it. I’ve had this vacuum for just under 2 years and the motor randomly blew. Yes I performed regular maintenance on the machine. The vacuum never had good suction- it’s always been sub par. Lots of dirt and fur left behind- always had to go over the same spot multiple times. It also never vacuumed the edges of the floor near the wall or furniture- crevice tool was needed along every edge of every surface in order to get debris. Honestly relieved it broke, because now I have to get a new vacuum. I chucked it in the trash without hesitation even though I am under warranty. Even if they replaced it I wouldn’t be happy. No idea why this vacuum has so many good reviews.

I WANT to love this....

I want to be in love with this vacuum. It cleans well! My gripe is that the brush stops spinning when you switch modes (using the tools or going handheld) and will not start spinning again after you go back to standing vacuum mode. I have to turn the vacuum off for hours for it to start spinning the brush again.
