Surface Sense Allergen Pet Lift-Off

This vacuum is wonderful! I have two Aussie Shepherds. And I have fur everywhere. This vacuum helps control the tumbleweeds and the clumps of fur that I constantly battle. I love that the canister lifts off from the base/wheels so I can walk down the hall with the hose attachment and clean up along the baseboards. Same thing with stairs, it makes it much easier to navigate.

Nope

I hated this vacuum from the moment I got it. I’ve had this vacuum for just under 2 years and the motor randomly blew. Yes I performed regular maintenance on the machine. The vacuum never had good suction- it’s always been sub par. Lots of dirt and fur left behind- always had to go over the same spot multiple times. It also never vacuumed the edges of the floor near the wall or furniture- crevice tool was needed along every edge of every surface in order to get debris. Honestly relieved it broke, because now I have to get a new vacuum. I chucked it in the trash without hesitation even though I am under warranty. Even if they replaced it I wouldn’t be happy. No idea why this vacuum has so many good reviews.

I WANT to love this....

I want to be in love with this vacuum. It cleans well! My gripe is that the brush stops spinning when you switch modes (using the tools or going handheld) and will not start spinning again after you go back to standing vacuum mode. I have to turn the vacuum off for hours for it to start spinning the brush again.

What you’re describing may be related to the vacuum’s internal safety system, which can temporarily disable the brush roll if it detects a jam or overheating. Turning the vacuum off for a while can reset it, but it shouldn’t happen frequently. We’d love to help troubleshoot this further and make sure everything’s working as it should. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

This sweeper is awesome covers all our surfaces. Carpet, hardwood, and good on our furniture too. It really picks up pet dander from our cat!!!

I'll only buy Bissell from now on.

Most amazing vacuum! I vacuumed with my regular vacuum first then used my Bissell... omg! I'm pretty sure I vacuumed up enough cat hair to make 2 more cats!! And before I used it the white carpet looked very clean.. this vacuum showed me it wasn't. Bless Bissell!!
