Steam gets on hand when pouring
When I pour the water out of this kettle seam leaks out from the lid and gets on my hand. I find it extremely irritating. This may just be mine, but the seal is off and doesn't hold the seam in. I have other Breville products that I love, but this one isn't working for me. Things I do like are the design and temperature settings.

Works well, beeps are obnoxious though
This boils quickly and has nice features but Breville's insistence on having all their appliances loudly beep at you all the time will keep me away until they let you adjust the volume and/or silence them.

Beautiful but lacks longevity
I loved this kettle until the base became problematic. When I push a button, it might actually be a different setting that responds. The lights just go a little crazy and I have to keep randomly pushing buttons until it decides we are in the same page and it will do what I want. I've been watching for a replacement base to come available but that hasn't happened. Unfortunately, at this point, I'm just waiting for it to quit completely. If the bar isn't available by then, I'll replace with another brand.

Rust
Bought the product three years ago. Noticed rust stains inside of it when filling with water. Was pretty happy with it prior to this but for this price, rust is unacceptable.

LOVE this kettle!
This is the "Rolls Royce" of kettles. It's super nice aesthetically and functionally. It even has special settings in case you don't want the water overheated, e.g. not super boiling water to make green tea - which I make a lot!

Smart Kettle Luxe
I purchased one December 2025 and returned it, only worked for one day. It would turn on and 28 seconds automatically turn off. Had a second one sent to me. It turned on but turned off automatically in 28 seconds. Returned that one also.
