Updates don't work for me

I loved the last version of Revel. It was a perfect blend of stability and cushion without overdoing either. This version causes my knee and hips to hurt. It is too cushiony for me and seems to force by foot into a position it doesn't like. The same thing happened with the launch a year or so ago- the updates make it an unwearable shoe for me. I wish Brooks would bring back the older versions of the Revel and the Launch.

Major downgrade :(

I had the Revel 6 and loved them, so when they wore out I bought these (Revel 8). I'm disappointed that the update sacrificed lots of function and comfort, apparently to look more modern. They feel at least a half size too big. The narrow lacing area, tiny tongue, and lack of back loop make them very hard to put on. The laces are slick and untie while you're walking. The sole is thicker and less stable. They have a less contoured shape, leaving less arch/midfoot support. They are stiff and the right edge grinds against my ankle. I wish I tested them more before wearing them outside, I would have returned them.
