Not a fan of the changes
I'm really not a fan of the new design. I liked the spring from the 2, but that seems to be missing in the 3. I also don't like the bigger out sole in back--I feel like I'm running in clown feet. This will be my last Hyperion purchase, sadly.

I previously wore the Hyperion 2s, which I loved. I was hesitant to buy the Hyperion 3s given the bad reviews but I tried them in store, and they felt great. I've now been running in them for 2 weeks without issues. I didn't notice any problems in the toe box. I got my usual size 8s, and my maximal foot width is 3.5 inches. I just miss the old ridged laces. I had tried the ghost 17, and they caused significant knee pain that I had to return them and go back to the hyperions.

Don’t waste your money
The Hyperion 2 was an awesome shoe. The Hyperion 3 is terrible, Toe box too small, too much forward motion & not stiff enough for push off. Dealing with lower back pain after running in these the last couple weeks.

Good shoe runs small
They seem to run small. I normally wear a 8 but needed 8.5. Feels good running. Less arch support than my previous shoe.

These will not do you feet any favors
Why change what works?!? These shoes are so heavy and clunky. No flexibility to the sole whatsoever. The toebox is just wrong. I run 6 miles every day on my treadmill. I couldn’t make it through 2 with these shoes. I had to take them off and put on my old shoes. If I wore them more, I would rate them based on how many toenails I would have left. absolutely loved the previous version. If I could find another pair of them in my size, I would snatch them up . This version is an absolute no thank you

Tiny toe box
I switched from the Launch to the Hyperion 2 because they made the toe box more cramped in the Launch. Now they have done the same thing with the Hyperion 3s. It is SO uncomfortable. Not only is it smaller, the reinforced sides give your foot no where to go. The upper feels nice and stretchy, but around the toe box it is reinforced trapping your foot where it can't move. All the research shows that your toes need room, why are we going the wrong direction? Other shoe companies are doing this too. It is so hard to find a firm trainer with room in the toe box.

Not really digging these...
I was suprised when I went online to order another pair of my usual fave hyperions and saw this change, but trusted it would be along the same lines. Drastically different shoe, heavier, bigger, slower and completely different feeling heel landing and feeling as if my toes were hitting a wall and being crammed into a hole with each foot strike (especially on treadmill or pavement). I waited until I had 350 miles on them to make up my mind, but I really miss the old hyperion, and looking at which shoe to buy tonight has me at a loss. Its ok and does the job if you never ran in the previous versions, but not sure I will buy another pair.
