INK CAPACITY IS TERRIBLE

Horrible. I don’t print often so I am very surprised how often I need to replace ink cartridges.

Black ink did not last long

Not sure what happened. Put in the new black ink cartridge, ran a few tests to clean out the ink nozzles and then the black ink cartridge was empty. It must have been a dud cartridge because I did not run over 500 copies before it was empty!

Really bad quality

I bought it and when I installed it was 3/4 filled of ink also does not print 550 as stated outside of the box, print only like 25 pages only.

How dry I am.

Only printed 8 pages. Low on ink. It must dry out or something. This was over several months.

The machine is designed to automatically flush and clean all of the ink jet nozzles on a programmed schedule. During the cleaning process, the machine draws out a small amount of ink to remove air bubbles from the cartridge and to remove dust and dried ink from the ink nozzles and channels. This not only ensures premium print quality but also ensures the life of the print head. Because of the ink jet technology, this process is common to all ink jet machines. What has happened?

I have had my MFC-J885DW printer for several years and ALWAYS put genuine Brother ink in it. I just bought a batch of color ink, yellow, magenta, and cyan, ALL of them have just about run dry and I don't think I've printed more then 10 sheets. My original black is still good. What is going on? I paid top dollar for this!

We understand your Brother LC203BK cartridge did not last long. We'd like to help. The stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more ink and will shorten the life of the ink cartridge.
