The hanging straps bother me

I love the color and the style of this bag. I really don't like how the straps hang and hit your legs as you walk. I currently have rubberbands holding the straps together on each side. I also wish that there were dual zippers on each section into the bag. It soul make it faster to close the bag when in a hurry.
