Better than what I thought!

Like the other reviewers, I agree the dress I received did not look like the original photo Macy's posted, which had the tie in the back. However, unlike those reviewers, I actually like the tie in the front better. The tie in the back looked dated and strange over the gold zipper. I tied it into a horizontal bow in the front, instead of a knot like in the photo, which I think looks much better. My teenage daughter who didn't like the dress to begin with because of the tie in the back, actually complimented the way I wore it. And she doesn't give compliments easily. I recommend giving it a try. The fabric lays nicely with no wrinkles, which I love.

Misleading photo

This dress does NOT tie in the back. It ties in the front! There are two belt loops in the front so there is no other way to tie it. Do not care for it this way. Takes away from the look of the dress.with the busy belt tie in front.

Misleading Photo

This is a very chic dress, perfect for an elevated office look. However, I was surprised to receive the dress with the waist tie neatly tied and knotted in front, not in back as pictured in the photo I saw on the Macy's website. Confused, I untied it and tried retying it in back the way it looked in the photo before realizing the front tie was the correct way it should look since there was an exposed gold zipper in back. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't figure out how to retie it the way it looked upon receiving it. I returned it.
